Memories are priceless, yet cost nothing. They are a source of comfort and joy to us when we look back. We document our memories with music, recording together since 1976, and each recording allows us to measure our life - where we were then and where we are going. This is where we are now. There is a story behind each song inspired by people in our life; our experiences both happy and sad. We hope you enjoy what you hear and find something in our lyrics that explains how you feel.
God bless,
Gary and Roberta
Released on Alligator Music in Sparta, IL USA.

"Well known in the Midwest and Carolinas since the '70s, The Gordons (Gary plays guitar and dobro, Roberta plays autoharp; both sing beautifully) deserve serious national recognition.
They play what might be called "sweetgrass," a clean, forceful blend of old-time, Carter Family country-gospel and the relaxed, folky twang of ex-Byrds Chris Hillman and Gene Clark.
Like the O'Brien and Scott recording, this is spare, intimate, yet also warm and spacious, with a set list that incorporates a wide range of influences, from Bill Monroe's "Kentucky Waltz" to a soul-searching reading of Greg Brown's masterful "Train Carrying Jimmie Rodgers Home." Moreover, their originals, particularly the opening "Going Home," immediately feel like you've heard them before. This is a lovely record, as clear and fragrant as honeysuckle in the soft spring rain."
